Frances Davies, Partner
Frances joined SG Warburg in 1983 where she gained experience in the banking and asset management divisions before joining and subsequently heading a specialist team which advised a wide range of companies on how to analyse, quantify and manage their exposures to foreign-exchange and interest-rate risk.
In 1995, Frances joined Morgan Grenfell Asset Management where she established and headed the very successful pooled funds pension business. She ran the £250 million compensation project for 500,000 investors following a crisis involving one of the Retail fund managers and subsequently became Head of Retail as well as Head of Global Marketing Strategy.
Following a year as Chief Executive of a small investment management company, GMO Woolley, Frances joined Gartmore in 2002 as Director and Head of the Institutional Business and from 2005 also ran Gartmore's investment trust business. Frances joined Opus Corporate Finance in 2007.
Frances has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an M.Phil in Management Studies from Oxford University.
